Default Help: Ziphone 3.9 Bootloader on Launch iPhone
Hello, I recently used Ziphone on my iPhone, unaware of the bootloader issues, and was just wondering if it even affected my launch iPhone. From what I understand, the launch iPhone's came with the 3.9 bootloader to begin with, so I am just wondering what would happen if I brought my iPhone in to an Apple Store (restored, of course). Would they be able to tell because of the downgraded bootloader? And would the new "pwn" tool be able to upgrade it again, if so?

    Thanks!

Your bootloader should not have been touched by ZiPhone, because it was already 3.9. The only time you have to worry about the bootloader issue is with a phone that originally shipped with 4.6. However, even this is a moot point now, as the pwnage tool will allow you to switch between 3.9 and 4.6 pretty easily.

Thanks for the fast response, I was worried about voiding my warrenty. Can't wait for the Windows version of the Pwnage Tool (sold my iMac in January in hopes for a new MacBook. )
