I had a 1.1.2OTB that has been running the Dev Team's 1.1.3 for a while and today I restored to 1.1.4 in iTunes, then used ZiPhone to jailbreak / activate / unlock and the only problem I've had so far is that I can't log in via SSH with my existing key pair. I'm pretty sure this isn't actually caused by ZiPhone.

Put the phone into DFU mode and restore in iTunes.

There are no bugs or anything with Ziphone, I've used it several times with 1.1.4
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

your best bet, which i did and was simple and fast, is to use iplus. it allready installs all the stuff you need for 1.1.4 and unlocks, jailbreaks and activates the phone.

iplus messed up my youtube, ziphone is a better bet with the newest version 2.6. Zipone is foolproof

it is caused by ziphone but i was able to quick fix it. Im on a mac so i just used independence to change the ssh password. First go to installer and install the ziphone ibrickr fix, then independence or ibrickr will recognize your iphone and you can just change the password. I've done it twice.

I have changed the password (generated the encrypted password on Linux and pasted into /etc/master.passwd) but I'll give that a go. Cheers!

Restore your phone again using windows and repeat the process.

Make sure you keep "home" button pressed when you redock it after restoring, right through until the itunes sign appears on screen.

THEN close itunes and all itunes relates progs.

THEN open ZiPhone 2.6. Should connect smoothly. Let it do its thing and come back in 5 mins.

Also make sure you read the Ziphone troubleshooting file.

    Hope this is helpful.

How do I change passwords with iBrickr?

Also, to clarify my original problem: I [i]can[/] SSH into the phone, manually entering the root password but I can't log in using my key pair - I need this to work to allow me to sync over wi-fi from my Linux laptop.
