    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zibri has released ZiPhone - an incredible tool for activating, jailbreaking, and unlocking all versions of iPhones (unlock only works on 1.1.2 and 1.1.3 OTB).

Its incredibly easy to use, and both OS X and Windows versions are included in the download. Instructions from the readme:

Connect a brand new phone to the dock.
    Run the program

Well, you can also use a restored phone...
Or a normal in use phone...
    Well... whatever !
You can download the app here, or if you're not an MMi member you can download it here or from MediaFire.

Here's how to use the app:

    Tutorial for noobs:

    1. Put iPhone in Dock

    2. Copy all files under C:

    3. Start/Run --> write cmd --> Hit Enter

    4. Drag ziphone.exe into the cmd window and you will see this:

    C:ziphone.exe"

    5. type -j -a

and it need to look like this:

    C:ziphone.exe" -j -a

    6. hit enter and follow directions! Directions looking like this:

    ZiPhone v1.0 by Zibri. http://zibree.blogspot.com
    Source code available at: http://www.iphone-elite.org

    Loading zibri.dat.
    Searching for iPhone...
Please power off the iPhone, then hold the home button
and connect to dock to enter recovery mode.
    Working...
    Please wait 45".
    Done!

( To put your iPhone in recovery mode, hold down sleep/wake + Home Button until you see the iTunes logo on your iPhone)

    7. Do the same thing with dragging ziphone.exe to cmd and write -u

    This looks like this:

    C:ziphone.exe" -u

    ZiPhone v1.0 by Zibri. http://zibree.blogspot.com
    Source code available at: http://www.iphone-elite.org

    Loading zibri.dat.
    Searching for iPhone...
    Working...
    Please wait 2'30".
    Done!
I will have a better guide up soon in the Wiki, this is just a basic rewrite of a guide a user tossed up.

Mad props to Zibri and the dev team for their incredible work on this!

Thank you so much for this! It worked perfect, i didn't need to restore my phone at all. It took about to 3 minutes to complete. My only issue is, i can't get Youtube to work. I tried resetting the general settings, still a no go. Thank you again!

Default WORKING on i-tune accidental upgrade to 1.1.3
had 1.1.2 OTB jailbreaked + stealthSIM card (w48model), ACCIDENTLY upgraded via i-tunes to 1.1.3 ... all dead

used the program described above and result :
fully operating phone in version 1.1.3 (4A93)
    NO NEED for any stealth/turboSIM

only advice - download program from MMi , as there is a file ending UI.exe - it does all automatically all for you, no need to copy files to C:/
    can not be easier!!!!!

Life is GOOD, and SUN is shining again!
    thank you folks...

Copy that file to your documents and settings/administrator folder and make sure you add a space to the end of the command line before you type -j -a

    Question incorrect sim
I went through this and it goes to springboard but says Incorrect Sim. I have a 1.1.2 OTB virgin phone. Do I need to install AnySim from the install packages list? And if so which version (I see 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3)

Edit: Please disregard this post. I did not run ziphone -u. Doh!

Default How to run on OSX
Hate to be stupid, but I'm not sure how to use the ZiPhone app on OSX.

The zip file includes a .exe file and one called "ZiPhone" which is a Unix executable (which I assume is the one to use on OSX).

The instructions on the OSX download page state:
Here's how to use the app:

    run:
    ziphone [-u] [-a] [-j] [-i imei]
-u: Unlock (Only for 4.6 BL, it can also fix many dead basebands)
    -a: Activate
-j: Jailbreak (not a soft update, true jailbreak)
    -v: Verbose boot (debug)

I only want to Jailbreak (not unlock)

I ran the "ziphone" app which opened up a Terminal Window.

    This resulted in the following:
    /Users/*****/Downloads/ZiPhone/ziphone ; exit;
    *****:~ ****$ /Users/****/Downloads/ZiPhone/ziphone ; exit;
    dyld: Library not loaded: ./MobileDevice.framework/Versions/A/MobileDevice
    Referenced from: /Users/****/Downloads/ZiPhone/ziphone
    Reason: image not found
    Trace/BPT trap
    logout
    [Process completed]

Is there something else I'm supposed to do?

    Thanks.

1.1.1 OOB to 1.1.3 jailbreak, activate and unlock
Posted in iPhone on February 12, 2008 by despreiphone

If you have an 1.1.1 OOB iphone it means you have bootloader 3.9 and you can now have 1.1.3 software and baseband.

Here is whay you have to do:

    1. upgrade your iphone with itunes to 1.1.3

    2. download ziphone : http://iphone-elite.googlecode.com/s...nk/ZiPhone.zip and Unzipit on a folder on your desktop

4.Run terminal on mac (aplications/utilities/terminal) or command promt on windows (start/run type cmd and hit enter) change folder to the one you have unziped the tool.

    cd desktop

    cd ziphone

5 now drag the file ziphone on mac or ziphone.exe on windows on the terminal/command prompt and add at the end of the adress -j -a

6 now if you are on a mac should see something like:

    Macintosh:~ yourname$ /Users/yourname/Desktop/ZiPhone/ziphone -j -a

on windows it looks much alike.

7 Hit enter. The program will tell you to disconnect, shut down the iphone, press home button and reconnec. The iphone will enter in recovery mode.
8 The program will display “wait 45″” so wait )

9 the iphone will reboot and you will see on the program “done”

10 now you have an jailbroken / activated iphone.

    =================
Below are the instructions for unlocking your phone. (I didn't do this since I'm with AT&T)

11 using installer go to System category and install BSD subsystem

12 now go to iClarified category and install anysim 1.3

13 close installer and run anysim.

14 after anysim finishes you have an ulocked/jailbreaked/activated iphone running on 1.1.3 baseband,

Now go back to installer and uninstall anysim.

It worked for me without any problems.

Does anyone know if any contact info is lost and will I have to reinstall my icons and theme after I do this?

  18. #17
I have a non-iPhone at&t plan and had been using my OTB 1.0 iPhone on SW version 1.1.2 with no problems. I've run ziphone several times now on windows and mac after upgrading to 1.1.3 and then restoring to 1.1.3 and I cannot get service.

It is jailbroken no problem with installer but it never connects to the network and displays "No Service" at the top. Anyone else run into this? I am using at&t and do not need to unlock.

    FF
I would find it in bad taste for a waiter to ask for tips.

make sure that you sync contacts with outlook or yahoo after i upgraded to 1.1.3 and jailbrok my restore file was curupt. to use this jailbreak you will have to restore to 1.1.3. again. it looks like u used the previous jailbreak if u have themes on it. if u restore to 1.1.3 it should remove all themes. you did not realy give enough info to answer completely
