Thread: ChatKit changes folder layout

  1. #1
    Question ChatKit changes folder layout
I am working on some changes to the ChatKit and i want to make it work in winterboard but i am having issues with the folder names to make it work right i have tried allot of options but no go. I know that most you use a folder inside called Bundles then the folder that the image would be located in.. but i assume these arent stored like this.

Here is the location that i am making changes in:
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ChatKit.framework

so what would the folder layout need to be for winterboard?

Here is what i am working on now just need some help on the folder layout to make it work.. also anyone know where the keyboard background is stored im pretty good at knowing how apple has the graphic set up so i just need to find it any help is appreciated

chatkit is set up in your theme folder as /bundles/com.apple.ChatKit

and the keyboard can't be themed, saurik said it himself on twitter

I just spent way too many hours pulling apart the 3.x keyboard code. There isn't enough legacy support to theme keyboards anymore. Sorry.

    Try your chatkit .theme/folders/ChatKit.framework

Well i tried it like that and it doesnt work in winterboard.. i have the folders as Theme Name, bundles , com.apple.ChatKit any more ideas?

Also i know we cant seem to theme the keyboard and its not worth it but i would think its background would be easy unless its way embedded??

blkcadi - i think i tried that first lol but im wondering if it needs a folder that says ChatKit.framework added to what i tried above ....

the background WOULD be in Keyboard-Common.artwork, but I've tried, and even with both the keyboard's .artwork files deleted, the keyboard still shows up stock.

in either one, the .chatkit is all lowercase, idk if case matters though

trying to make it this color

Not sure why, but it comes out this color

see that's the same problem I had, made the edges all weird and you lose the highlights from the stroke/stripe around it, but thanks for trying. Guess I'll keep playing with it.

do you want it to be the bigger bubble with the stroke or more like the normal bubble with the stroke i was just making it off of what you had there on the bigger one i had no ref. to size so i had to use yours to start from

Well here is the Clif notes lol

I took the file of the bubble that you liked color wise and stole its color top and bottom... Then took in the new bigger bubble and made a copy layer of it and then shrunk it by about 2 pixels to show the stroke from the original then i remade the gradiant to match and made the highlight bubble at the top warped it a bit and there ya go!
