    Default BSD_More Package
I put together a very small package called BSD_More to work in conjunction with BSD_Base and BSD_Extra. If you have jailbroken your iPhone to 1.1.1, you will be familiar with these packages.

BSD_More simply contains 'groups' and 'passwd'. Both of these files belong in /bin/ on your iPhone. For information on installing BSD World (including BSD_More) check out this guide: Dev Team Install BSD World 1.1.1 Windows

Once installed, the 'groups' file fixes an error commonly received when connecting to your iPhone via SCP.

Once connected via SCP with a Terminal client like Putty (the Terminal window in WinSCP will not work as it does not accept user input), the 'passwd' file allows you to issue the command "passwd". This command may also be issued on MobileTerminal, directly on your iPhone. Once executed you should be prompted to enter a new password, and again to confirm. This password is now your login for SCP (replacing the default of alpine or dottie).
