    Default LocalizedApplicationNames.strings
    So how do I upload my LocalizedApplicationNames.strings file? I am told it goes here:
    /system/library/coreservices/springboard.app/english.lproj/

    But I can't seem to get it there. does anything in this string have to be capitalized or what am I supposed to do about all this?

    Not to be condescending but read the wiki's and how-to's before trying to jump straight to the punch-line.

    Assuming you've run Jailbreak already, download this program MANZANA. Put Manzana's exe file in your phonedmg folder.

    It's a drag and drop file system. Then just navigate to this directory /system/library/coreservices/springboard.app/english.lproj/ and replace the LocalizedApplicationNames.strings with your modified one.

    I renamed my apps using these simple instructions... http://www.modmyi.com/wiki/index.php...g_applications

    However, the app for Maps isn't on the file that I downloaded. I tried adding it (and changing the app name) and it didn't work. Any ideas?

    The maps entry was somehow omitted. Im sorry. Here is the entry you can simply paste into the file.

    <key>com.apple.Maps</key>
    <string>Maps</string>

    I've used this method too, wanting to put Dutch names to the applications. However, only the bottom four applicationsnames have changed on my iPhone, the other ones remain unchanged on the iPhone although they are changed in the file. What did I do wrong? Here's my complete file: (I used ibrickr to replace the file)

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
    <plist version="1.0">
    <dict>
    <key>com.apple.mobilephone</key>
    <string>Telefoon</string>
    <key>com.apple.youtube</key>
    <string>YouTube</string>
    <key>com.apple.mobilecal</key>
    <string>Agenda</string>
    <key>com.apple.MobileSMS</key>
    <string>SMS</string>
    <key>com.apple.mobilemail</key>
    <string>De Post</string>
    <key>com.apple.mobileslideshow-Camera</key>
    <string>Camera</string>
    <key>com.apple.weather</key>
    <string>Het weer</string>
    <key>com.apple.mobilenotes</key>
    <string>Notities</string>
    <key>com.apple.stocks</key>
    <string>Aandelen</string>
    <key>com.apple.mobileipod</key>
    <string>iPod</string>
    <key>com.apple.mobile.radio</key>
    <string>Radio</string>
    <key>com.apple.widget.phonebook</key>
    <string>Business</string>
    <key>com.apple.mobiletimer</key>
    <string>Klok</string>
    <key>com.apple.Preferences</key>
    <string>Instellingen</string>
    <key>com.

    Please advice, thx.

    /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/English.lproj/, its case sensitive. use Manzana, or iPhone explorer if possible. Good Luck
