Default QUICK Question, Please Help!: Is SHH Installed - no Icon
I went through this guide on installing SSH:

however I did it twice pretty much (because first time I accidentally pressed a button in cmd earlier than I was 'supposed?' to. Anyways, I did it right the second time. However, I see no SSH icon on my main screen - is it installed or what? Please let me know, want to continue on with installing BSD. Thanks!

It's a service not an application, so no icon

If you install either or you can see if SSH is installed. You can also enable/disable it via these programs.
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

thanks guys. can someone please explain this to me:

f you get a "connection refused" error this might work:

Right-Click this link and select Save Link/File As. Save it to your sshkit directory.

Open up a cmd window in windows by pressing Win + R (or Start Button -> Run) and typing 'cmd', then enter.

CD to the shhkit directory (enter the command 'cd \' followed by 'cd [FULL PATH TO SSHKIT DIRECTORY]', replacing the bracketed section with the path to your sshkit directory).

Enter the command 'iphoneinterface' in the command prompt.

Now issue this command to iphoneinterface:

    putfile /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/au.asn.ucc.matt.dropbear.plist

Restart the phone and then you can SCP in using winSCP.

I put the downloaded file in the SHH directory. The directory path is on my desktop in a folder called iPhone in a folder called SHH. What would I type in cmd? I don't understand "CD" and that. Thanks..
