Thread: Finally Solved....4 hours

    Default Finally Solved....4 hours
After around 4 hours, I finally got jailbreak to work
The entire process was really fustrating...
I think a lot of the users around here have the same problem-
they do EVERYTHING right in the wiki's, tuts, etc., but what seems to be the problem now is that you have to include both update files.
    1-iPhone1,1_1.0.1_1A543a_to_1C25_Update.ipsw
    and
    2-iPhone1,1_1.0_1A543a_Restore.ipsw

    I hope that helps...
and saves some people the four hours I had to endure

[edit]:finding these files- use the technique where you try to restore your iphone, but remove it just after the download starts...thats for one of them, the other is just downloaded off the website(?). I'll check, but I'm pretty sure.

nice job. I didnt have to do this though when updating mine after the 1.0.1 update, i just did it the normal way. but this is a good alternative if people are having problems.

    Bonefish-
Your problem seems to be with holding menu and home down not long enough. My problem was that jailbreak was hanging at 'Booting iPhone'.
I'll upload the files reguardless. Link to them. Whatever.
