    Using a legit activated iphone 4 and Limera1n rc1 beta 2 i was able to get my iphone 4 4.1 to unlock via itunes. I installed mobileterminal n tried 2 remove limera1n hactivation which went wrong n deactivated my phone. I ran limera1n rc1b this time n it did activate my phone so i could use the apps but not carrier. Than i tried the 1st 2 steps to redo hactivation while connected to itunes n rebiited the phone. Once rebooted iphone said its activated n itunes said iphone is unlocked. I tried another carrier sim card n found out indeed my iphone 4 had been unlocked

    MobileTerminal doesn't work on 4.1 for me.. I thought it's not compatible yet.

    Also, iTunes doesn't really say if you have an activated iPhone or not. You can only tell after you've inserted an unofficial SIM.

    I find this a bit hard to believe.

    its a beta version. Mobileterminal 4.1 | PodZombie. i installed erica utilities as well just for ur information. here r the commands i used 2 remove the hactivation which removed my legit activation as well
    plutil -EnvironmentVariables -rmkey DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mobile.lockdown.plist

    rm -r /var/root/Library/Lockdown

    launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mobile.lockdown.plist && launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons

    and here r commands i used 2 reactivate my phone
    plutil -EnvironmentVariables -dict /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mobile.lockdown.plist

    plutil -EnvironmentVariables -DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES -string /usr/lib/hacktivate.dylib /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mobile.lockdown.plist
