Default restarting problem with unlock ?
    hi,

i have just got myself an iphone 4 on o2 network running on 4.0.1 basband 01 59 00 , i have unlocked the phone through cydia using ultrasnow and now its working on vodafone uk ... it works fine untill i restart my iphone once i do that it not let me connect to the internet but i can make calls and recieve calls.

if i update to a more recent firmware is there another way of unlocking my phone instead of using ultrasnow?

    help is much appreciated

I would assume your server location is null/blank

You probably can't text message either

There is packages in cydia to autofill the carrier thing for ultrasn0w

The only one I know of is for Cingular but it might be out there for you

It just sounds like his apn settings are getting wiped on reboot so he would have to put them in manually each time. not sure why that would happen though.

Mine was doing this. I had to remove the sim everytime it started back up and put it in. Until i realized aeroplane mode had the same effect. This was a few days ago now its fine must of sorted its self out?

Updating to 4.1 wont help either BTW i tried. Just aeroplane mode off then back on and its ok until you reboot again.

I would guess you could make a theme with a plist file that fixes the issue with the correct numbers but idk

    thanks for the replys

i think that might sort the problem out but ive reinstalled ultrasnow and installed again and everything seems to be working fine for now.

in cydia there is 2 versions of ultrasnow and ive tryed both

1 version from repo666 and the other version is from sinfull

im using repo666 at the minute so il report back if it shuts of again but hopefully not.

No disrespect, but you come up with some strange advice for people.

Lol sometimes thinking outside the box solves the problem

I thought of it because there is a cydia app to fake your About Screen which would be a Cydia plist file and there is also an Ultrasn0w setup file in cydia not sure exactly how that one works but u get the idea
