    Default Tethered vs. Untethered
Tethered JB means needing to hook up to computer to restart? Or does Untethered mean that? Read somewhere that if you JB with Spirit, then you have new bootrom which means tethered?
I habve no need to hook up to computer to restart at all.

I think I am just really confused

Untethered jailbreak means if your phone dies, or you have to turn it off or reboot, you can turn it on without a computer. Teathered means to turn on your phone you need to plug it into a computer and run the jailbreak program.

Spirit is an untethered jailbreak. If your phone is jailbroke and you can turn it off and on and itll turn on on its own you're untethered and good to go.
