    Default Cydia doesn't work
I jailbroke my ipod last week with spirit and it was working fine for about 3 days. The cydia stopped loading. I can open it but it only reads "unable to load (operation could not be completed. invalid argument)" I must have restored my ipod 4 times. I then realized it might have to do with my ipod running on 3.1.3 so i downgraded to 3.1.2 and restored again and cydia is giving me the same problem. i'm getting really frustrated and i'm usually pretty good with stuff like this but i can't figure out the problem. some help would be greatly appreciated.

have you done fresh restores - like set it up as a new ipod and not recover old one?

i didn't set it up as a new ipod because i didn't want to risk losing my data. i have a lot of stuff that would make me a very unhappy camper if i had to manually put it all back.

That's the problem, you are doing a backup restore which gives you the conflicts. You should consider a setting up as a new Ipod if you can't resolve this issue and be an unhappy person now than a long term Unhappy person whose Cydia keeps crashing...

thats why i asked... a fresh restore should solve the problem (hopefully). you can just sync all the contacts and apps, etc back onto it.
