Thread: Troubles jailbreaking

    Default Troubles jailbreaking
I tried to jailbreak an iphone I just bought from someone today. I used pwnage tool to jailbreak it. After I jailbroke it, I put my sim in and it didn't recognize it and I didn't have any service.

I have AT&T. I bought the phone from a friend to avoid having to purchase crazy AT&T data & messaging services special for the iphone. I have an unlimited data plan as well. If anyone can help, please do so. I'm brand new to this and am very lost. Thanks for the help.

What OS did you update to? 3.0 ?

You may have to restore and jailbreak again.

Well if you only need to jailbreak you could just restore to a stock firmware and run redsn0w. I hear that many people do not like custom firmwares since they tend to run slower on the iPhones.

Redsn0w works on all of them for jailbreaking. Doesn't matter.

Does the phone work with your SIM when you do a clean restore in iTunes to FW3.0?

I think Angie *might* know that, she was just trying to get more information.

Yes, *might* - never assume anything, you might have been hit on the head by a tennis ball and lost your memory. Or be suffering sun stroke...

I don't think my doctor OR my teachers would appreciate that very much.
And unless I'm going to join Football (not soccer...) (which girls can't join anyways) then neither would my coach.

Not quite Rugby but close. American football.. or in spanish "futbol americano"
Don't know quite how else to explain it. Another thing that is "unique" about America.
