    Default 2G Unlocking Questions
I recently got a new 3G iPhone and want to sell my old 2G. I decided that it would sell better if I jailbroke and unlocked it. I used Quickpwn 2.2.5-2 on it and performed the jailbreak and unlock with it's old original sim card in it (it's deactivated).
I know for sure that the jailbreak worked but I'm not sure if the unlock worked since I don't have a different carriers sim card to test it with. Is there a way that I can verify that it is unlocked? Should I have done the Quickpwn without the old sim card in it?
When someone buys it what will they need to do to get it to work on a different carrier other than AT&T? Will they get Edge if they aren't on AT&T?
    Any info would be appreciated.

I think that you would have to not have any SIM inside of it whenever you unlock it. I believe that this will allow any SIM that is put inside of it to work on the phone.

To verify that it is unlocked you can try it on a friend's SIM card.

If you use my method, I believe that they can just pop in the SIM card and go. They will not get Edge/data unless they have a data plan.
If I helped you, then hit the "Thanks!" button please.

When I put in someone elses sim card it says "Different SIM Detected, Please connect to iTunes". Is this what it's supposed to do? It only lets me make an emergency call if I don't connect it to iTunes. What does connecting it to iTunes do?
