    Default 3G Network Problem
Okay so i have an iPhone 3G. which i bought from eBay a couple of days ago

Problem is it doesnt find a service.

When i got it it was on 2.2 with a 2.28baseband, jB and unlocked.
It had a O2 simcard in it (im in UK by the way) and it reconises it but says NO Service. not only that a Popup appears saying "Waiting for Activation, This may take some time. Dismiss"

So i installed Yellowsn0w and restarted it in the hope that that my fix the problem... It didnt.. i restarted a few times, i took the sim out and put it bk in a few times and i tried reinstalling yellowsn0w and re doing the restart sim in/out thing again.

    Still nothing....

so.... i upgraded to 2.2.1 hoping it might fi the problem..
    it didnt.
Throughout the process' above I also tried 3 different o2 simcards, on 3 different contracts (p&g, simplicity[1month contract thing] and 12month contract.)

I managed to jB it again but now its simply a Fancy iTouch.

UNLESS someone can shed some light on to my problem. and maybe help resolve it.
Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

If your baseband is still 02.28.00,try yellowsnow again&disable your sim pin lock. Also you can try to turn on/off airplane mode&3g switch...
If these don't help, ssh into your phone&try to replace the lockdown folder...

Sorry man but if you did upgrade to 2.2.1 you are stuck now! Yellowsnow wont work for you. Your only solution is to wait for a new version of yellowsnow or a unlock sim card.

but surely if its an UK(O2) phone and im using a UK(o2) Simcard it should work... whether i have yellowsn0w, 2.28 baseband or if i have no sn0w with 2.30 baseband...

I'm thinking its more of a hardware related issue..
