How do u downgrade an OTB 1.1.3 phone. Everytime i hold the power button and the home button it puts the phone in recovery mode then i try restoreing it by holding the option key and selecting the version i want. It extracts the softwear the puts the Error occurred (1) message up and i hit ok. But when i try useing independance all it says is "connected to iPhone in recovery mode" with no outher options. And when i try useing app tapp installer and it just comes up with an error message. Then after about 5 mins the phone just restarts and gose back to its origenal state. I need help!!!

    or mac:

my guess is you are not in DFU recovery mode. when you are in your recovery mode what is displayed on the screen? it should be completely dark. you need to hold Power + Home until you hear the phones beep from disconnecting from itunes, once you hear that ding release the power button but continue to hold the home button for another 15 seconds.

I'm assuming you are on 1.1.2?

If that is the case then upgrading is simple.

    Just softupdate to 1.1.3
You can find the Softupdate in the

Make sure to install the BSD Subsystem 2.0 and Update the and Community
    Sources BEFORE updating.

Once you have softupdated to 1.1.3 you can run the GeoHot Unlock also found in

Add this source to installer... (Make sure to refresh before exiting)

Now you should have a 1.1.3 Unlocked.
Forget about the new baseband...I upgraded mine to the 1.1.3 BB and GeoHot's unlock
    downgraded it back -_-"
