You can bypass the activation screen by clicking the 'activate phone' box in winpwn/pwnage.

I have a question... If you have a 1st gen iPhone and its data plan, can you pwn an iPhone 3G and put the 1st gen SIM card in the 3G and use the 1st gen data plan? If that makes any sense... haha

You can, but you'd have to get rid of the 3g plan, then face extra fees, etc, etc. Or find some way to circumvent the system, either way, seems like way too much work.

This might be off topic, but can you bypass the whole activation process for the 3Gs?

yes you can. You'd basically end up with an iPod touch though.

Okay. If I were to cancel the 3G plan and pay for all the fees, could I still pwn the phone and use it with another AT&T sim card? Thanks.

I Dont see why not , if you called att and explained that your not using your iphone 3g but just bought it and sold it , that you dont need the 3g rate plan i cant see them calling you a liar , i dont know about any of you but i didnt sign any contract saying im stuck with the 3g rate plan**** switching back to 2g is something i considered , question is would the shitty so called gps they gave us 3g users still work with the 2g rate plan?
