    Default Activate o2 uk iphone
    Hi Guys,
I would like to buy a uk (o2) Iphone i understand it needs to be activated to use an O2 Pay as you Go sim card.
    1) I have downloaded iNdependence (because i use a mac) is it just a case of connecting my iphone and clicking activate?

    2) would i have any warranty issues doing this?

    3) would i be able to upgrade firmware at a later date?

    4) any other information that would be useful?

I don't need to add any third party apps but don't like the cost of the o2 price plans (poor value ) thanks in advance!

at this time you will only be able to jailbreak it you wont be able to unlock this phone to use with pay as you go because there is no current unlock solutions for otb 1.1.2 phones but you could use a hardware based method such as turbo sim or stealth sim but i do not have experience with these

    2) If you're worried about the warranty get the o2 iphone contract
    3) Yes, but it may or may not block PAYG sims in future
    4) Read the forums
