    Thanks, good.

I suggest checking PUSH first. Install a push app (like iPusher from App Store) and use it for the test. Push Checker (cydia.pushfix.info) is also a good app to test. Note: The phone needs to be connected to iTunes to get the push certificates.

If PUSH doesn't work (give it a few minutes and several attempts), install SAM (via Cydia repo: repo.bingner.com/ ), reboot, and run both iPusher and Push Checker again.

After push is working, disable Notifications (if desired) with Settings / Notifications = OFF.

We'll get MMS and tethering working after push, ok?

Ok, I'm downloading iPush right now but i'll have to run home at lunchtime (1pm EST) to connect to itunes to get the certificates. FYI - It appears I am able to send MMS just not receive them.

I'll get back to you once i'm able to get PUSH working. I appreciate all of your patience and help very much.

No problem. I'll be here on-and-off all day.

Note: If push doesn't work install SAM ... and run it I've forgotten the options, but the default should work.

Wonderful. Now use Push Checker (as described before) and verify your push certifications are unique.

Good. There are two methods to enable MMS and tethering for T-Mobile.

First method: 140 Characters Are Not Enough • T-Mobile USA Carrier Bundle
This procedure involves installing one patch file (via Cydia) and one carrier bundle ipcc via iTunes.
The instructions are pretty good. Pick the ipcc for your version: iOS4.2
    Done.

A discussion thread is located here if you have problems:
    http://modmyi.com/forums/t-mobile/65...g-3gs-4-a.html

The second method uses the same patch file and my personal custom T-Mobile bundle.
My support could be limited, so I recommend using the first method.

If you have any problems or questions, let me know.

    Good luck

Note: I found a THIRD method: Manual Entry of MMS settings :

Reading over the instructions and I am lost at this point "one carrier bundle ipcc via iTunes.
The instructions are pretty good. Pick the ipcc for your version: iOS4.2" where is this done?

I'm going to have to manually add the patch in Cydia (I assume) because the instructions on that blog appear to be for a MAC and I don't have one.

This is a simplified guide to the First Method mentioned above.

    1. Add this Cydia repo: cydia.d23.com.uy
    2. Install CommCenter Patch 4.3.3 from the above repo and reboot iPhone
    3. Download this file: http://goo.gl/zspIE and unzip. (Note location)
    4. Quit iTunes if running
    5. Press Windows Key + R to open the windows run dialog.
    6. Enter the following into the Command window (include quotes "s, no space between C: and \).
    .. "C: \Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1, press OK
.. iTunes will open, dismiss any update or sync messages.
    7. Connect your iPhone and run iTunes (if not open).
    8. Select your iPhone on the left, hold Shift key and click the Update button
.. a file open menu fill appear
    9. Select t-mobile_us_legacy.ipcc file (unzip'd from step 3)
    10. Let iTunes finish, then exit iTunes
    11. Disconnect cable, reboot iPhone.
    12. Settings / General / Cellular Data Network / Reset Settings
    13. Reboot iPhone
    14. Verify APN settings entered for Cellular Data and MMS
    15. Test MMS

Done. Full internet, MMS, and tethering

The ipcc comes from SpookeyET. He does good work but likes to hide everything. Uggg.
    Does Internet and MMS work?

If not, Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings
