Talking Moving from London to New York, best option to get unlimited data?
    Hi

I'm moving in a week or so to NY from London. I have an 3G iPhone, jailbroken and unlocked (unlock by the network).

Is T-Mobile the best option for me whilst in NY? I understand NY T-Mobile doesn't have 3G?!

What options do I have? I'll be there for at least 12 months so is a contract or pre paid sim going to be better? My main concern is just getting unlimited data.

I've found UNLIMITED DATA - iPhone Prepaid Sim Cards USA, Caribbean, Israel, Jordan, Thailand...
Is this the best place to get a sim from, what other options are there? Is it really going to cost $60 a month to get what I want? I've no idea on all the options and work arounds in the US.

Thanks for the help guys, new to all this.

    Rob

No 3G on your iPhone in the states unless you are on AT&T.

T-Mobile would be the best option.

Data would not be any more than $30 a month depending on your plan setup.

Bring me some flakes and I will setup your iPhone for free

Is the best way for me to get on T-Mob going to be through the pay as you go @ $60 a month?

Are there cheaper options/ work arounds?

Sorry for the total newbie questions

Can anyone help a bit more?

Can I get a pay and go sim @ $6.99 and do some sort of trickery?

The T-Mobile site is [email protected]

I see a T-Mobile sim pack on MrSimcard for $80 upfront and then I need to top up $60 each month (UNLIMITED DATA - iPhone Prepaid Sim Cards USA, Caribbean, Israel, Jordan, Thailand...). Do I really need to take this route or is it a stitch up?!

Can side kick still be used? http://iphonesidekick.co.cc

All a little confused, just need a bit of help understanding the current options

    Cheers

Are you moving to NY, or just visiting? If you're going to be here a while, you might as well get postpaid service.

If you require 3G, get an ATT plan.

    If you don't, get a T-Mobile plan.

No matter what company you get a SIM card from, in America, 3G service is only available for the iPhone with AT&T. iPhones are not compatible with T-Mobile's 3G network.
