Thread: Enable MMS for T-Mobile on 3.0

  1. #141
ok, i got it working. i can send & receive pix/txt...BUT....

Anytime i receive a pix, it gets shrunken down, pixelated and looks horrible....not the quality or resolution i was sent.

    let me explain:

    Yes- i can send & receive pix/text
Yes- i can open/save/resend received pix
No- the pix i receive are not the same size/resolution/quality of the ones i was sent.

    if i was sent a 150kb 2mp pix, i would receive a 10k or so image of a resolution less than 320x480....

this is what i was sent & received. (actual example)

Update IPCC file through itunes PM if you dont know how but here is the T-mobile IPCC files that will give you MMS and Internet settings and puts them in automatically just make sure you have activatemms2g if your iphone2g dont install on 3g or 3gs.

Let me know if this helped

so you are saying i just update the IPCC file through itunes and everything will work? i use epc.tmobile.com not wap.voicestream.com does that make a difference? and does this drain the battery like before? i am also on 3.0 2g

These are the settings i use, internet2.voicestream.com for the internet..and wap.voicestream.com for mms and both of them work perfect i am on 3.0 and it works awesome. Here is a couple screens shots of what my network settings look like after updating my IPCC file through itunes.

Not sure but it should. As long as activatemms2g does not crash your iphoine like it does in 3.1 your golden.

Did you update the IPCC file through itunes?? <--- doing this you dont need to input any files it puts them in your network and mms automatically......but i have only gotten 3gs's to work with mss (before the 25th) AT&T not t-mobile..I have only done a 2g with activate MMS2g installed first then updating the IPCC file gave me Clear (not blurry pics like i was getting) MMS's.

    Thumbs up mss settings
    SETTINGS FOR TMOBILE MMS

    APN: wap.voicestream.com
    Username and password: leave blank
    MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080

you have to reboot your iphone then go to settings messages and turn on mms messaging

you could send pictures right away but it might take 1 hour to recieve pictures but when i did it it took about 15 minutes

  17. #157
Those settings cause very low-res picture quality. Everyone should use SpookyET's settings.

  18. #158
    Default mms settings
    what settings are those?

    got full resolution to work,

go to cydia, search for "t-mobile" and download one of the bundle.

then edit your setting to this:

    APN: wap.voicestream.com
    Username and password: leave blank
    MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
    max message size: 1048576
