Let's say I have a 3G with TurboSIM (damn original owner updated =[ ) with T-Zones on T-Mobile. Now let's say I move into an area in which T-Mobile roams with AT&T. Will I be able to, at that point, use 3G (if there was 3G coverage, of course), since it's on AT&T service?

Wow, good question. . . . . .Maybe, but when T-Mobile uses the AT&T towers it most likely still uses T-Mobile frequency which is different than AT&T.

    So, most likely no 3G.

No, it will not roam on 3G. Either AT&T or T-Mobile (I assume it's AT&T doing this) blocks T-Mobile users access to the 3G network (AT&T probably has a different NOC or other network ID for the 3G network, and T-Mobile doesn't have that network in its SIMs' roaming lists).

So that means even people with the original iPhone AT&T contract ($20/mo) don't get 3G if they put their SIMs in 3G iPhone?

A iPhone 3G will work on a contracted original iPhone plan (with 3G access, done this with a 3G-capable Blackjack in the past), but a T-Mobile account (regardless of using an unlocked iPhone 3G or any 3G phone) will not roam on AT&T's 3G network. T-Mobile only roams on AT&T's 2G/GSM network.
