Thread: All things ANEMONE (the alternative to WinterBoard)

  1. #781
Just do a cleanup in iCleaner

Open Cydia and find your installed Anemone package. Scroll to the bottom and in "Filesystem content" it will show you where all the Anemone files are installed. Then just note where any plist files are and make sure their gone before reinstalling.

    Check out WW3 for iOS 9/10 - Widget-Weather 3.0

Did that and still have the issue but getting better, so I have started to eliminate tweaks. I was going through filza and stumbled across the two theme folders at path private/var/db/stash can I delete these? This is after anemone has been removed. The reason for my search: had gotten pop up in filza saying storage almost full. I'm just trying to clean things up before I reinstall anemone.

    Thanks again

Also went into ifile and found a folder called anemonecache can I delete this?(same path)

In my opinion, your problem is probably because your phone is so full, either buy a device with more storage capacity or delete some stuff.
No computer or iDevice runs well at near full capacity, the operating system needs room to breath.

I may be wrong but I think storage almost full may also refer to partitions and how full certain partition may be...

    -imageuploadedbymodmyi1454938944.418568.jpg

Like the system partition in my case is 80% full...

    Or a buggy backup...

I think you're correct, is there a way to clean this up?

    Ours are very similar

I used to know how to manage storage way back when....if I remember correctly you could increase the size of a partition but I don't know if it's possible the way iOS is today...

I would get an answer from some of the more knowledgeable guys here in MMI...maybe over at the theme guide thread...

The thing is....it may not necessarily be the storage...although like Ian stated the iOS does need room to breath....but it may just be a tweak or a buggy backup....

You see my storage...and I don't have any issues at all with delays in the LS or any other area of the SB...and I run heavily animated LS's...as well as UniAW based iwidgets ...so...

I also use anemone .80 and have no issues...and I have close to 15-18 themes...(please don't ask )....I think Sital mentioned something about which tweaks you have that deal with the LS...try disabling those first in iCleaner...see what happens...

    Gotta go work now...good luck...

I agree with you that it's a buggy Tweak or back up,a couple post up I asked about the theme files in stach and the anemone cache, and deleting that stuff. Do you know anything about that? I'm currently removing one tweak at a time to see where the issue lies.

The reason for me asking about those files, when I reinstall anemone I want it to be as clean as possible. Any help us greatly appreciated

I would do like King says...at the bottom of the anemone install page (if you still have it installed) where it says file system content...if you go in there you'll see all the files anemone installs and where they are located in your phone...make sure they have been uninstalled...then icleaner,.. Then clean install...

By the way...just updated to 139 see how it goes...so far good...

Mmm, ok, perhaps you have some tweak leaking memory & using up too much of your RAM, not sure why filza would give you a warning about space when you clearly have plenty, unless it's talking about RAM, but doubt it.

You'll get that message when your system partition is near full. An iPhone has partitions for different areas.

I think all I said was if you have other LS tweaks (other than LockHTML 4), there may be a conflict there. So not alot of helpful info on my part.

You use to be able to make the System partition larger by restoring with a custom IPSW.

Another solution is to symbolic link some stuff from the system partition to the user partition. It's dangerous, but if you know what you're doing....

    Also this info (iOS 9.0.2):
It's a known issue with Pangu's jailbreak and has to be fixed by them. Cydia is installing all of your tweaks into the system partition because of a symlink that doesn't exist in regards to the Applications folder.
Just what I read in another post.

No, this is because the dev didn't package certain parts using /User... Instead they used /Private/var/mobile...

It all gets put to the same place, but the /User symlink will avoid this error and is the proper way to install things.
