I think I'll just look into the Iconbundles method.
it's an error by the creator of ThemeEngine

Edit: they've added extra pixels to most images for some reason

just an fyi; some devs are setting the info .plist to address AppIcon40x40@3x.png as the icon for iPhones 4&5, given its the same size as AppIcon60x60@2x.png
they still submit the icon as required, but if you only theme AppIcon60x60 the icon will not change on the SpringBoard

LOL, guess what, I got it to work by sending the file to Photoshop, resizing the canvas back to 120x120 and then retrieving the file from Photoshop xD Bit of a roundabout method, but it works, so hey

    Is this method for newsstand?

There is an easier way, open your icon then add the empty canvas to the image

One thing that's weird though - I can change the Springboard Assets.car to change the Clock icon, but the Newsstand icon won't budge. I've tried replacing NewsstandIconEnglish@2x~iphone.png and NewsstandIconInternational@2x~iphone.png, both to no effect :/

Has anyone managed to change the Newsstand icon and if so, how? Am I looking in the wrong place here?
Does this mean the clock icon on the homescreen can't be themed by usual means?

Also is there a way to find out the icon name and bundle id in iOS8?

  13. #149
There is no way to theme the newsstand icon. It doesn't have a bundle name. Wait for winterboard to get updated or if it does

Hi there any way to theme signal and wifi bars?

Yes, please read back a couple of pages.

It's possible. Just not through WB. Newsstand is top left. -imageuploadedbymodmyi1415143201.396913.jpg

If you have a Mac, it's actually pretty easy.

Not quite "easy". For someone that purchases themes, they have to go through the trouble of replacing the assets.car files for every bundle, every time they change themes. It will get to be a headache really quick. I don't have a Mac, so I can't do anything with my own themes until WB is updated. Hopefully something "easier" comes along soon or it's going to be just icon theming for most people.
    My themes in cydia: #Dezel8 (ios8-9), #b8sic (ios8-9), #Hued8 (ios8-9).
    #Spearmint beta spearmint.dodgraphics.net
    Tweaks: ExtraIconDock

Hey, I just said theming it is kinda easy. I didn't say switching themes regularly was easy. Lol

I assume you're talking about the Status Bar Signals. If so, it never hurts to 'try' and see how it'd look if it was larger. What size did you use?

The width I used varied with each image, but the height stayed at 40 px: just because that's what I used on my iPhone 5S, but you're right. I'll just try and see how bigger signals look on the 6 Plus.

Any idea how to remove the blur from the folder icon? It's covering up the beautiful foldericon underneath!

    http://i.imgur.com/RorUJMS.png

Edit: Okay I figured it out. This was the same problem that existed on iOS7. You'll need HiddenSettings8 from

cydia.myrepospace/lamerz (Install at your own risk, no idea how trustworthy this dev is.)

Access it from your control center, go to Wallpapers and select Replace Blurs. Go to Icon Adaptive Colors and UNselect Blur Folder Icons. Respring.
