Cool, glad it worked out for you. I do my best to backup debs before updating any important tweaks. This one has come in pretty handy as a lot of people have needed it

Not really sure how one would back up deb files?

From what I've read Cydia deletes the downloaded deb file once the app has been installed. There's an app called Backtodeb for backing up deb files but that doesn't seem to have been updated in years.

So it seems the best way to backup deb files is to download apps in Cydia but do not close Cydia until you've had a chance to copy the contents of /Root Directory/var/cache/apt/archives to your pc/Mac. Once you close Cydia those downloaded and installed deb files are deleted.

I do it all on device using a package called "redeb" via Mobile Terminal. Once installed, just type redeb in Terminal and it walks you through it. Once repackaged I use iFile to move the deb to my Dropbox. Redeb can be found on this repo:

Hi all don't suppose anyone could help me mod a custom iOS 7 alkaline battery to work on iOS 8 on iPhone 6 plus before my top decided to blow....
I would really appreciate some assistance.

    Hey- where you stuck?
I think all you need to do is resize them. I haven't used the tweak in awhile..

Well I've tried changing the "@2x" to "@3x" and no joy, and I'm not really sure what sizes they need to be scaled down or up to

Try installing an Alkaline battery theme from Cydia to check the files...
The theme in my posts is 3 4 All, by Sk37cH.

The numerous versions released, and infinite versatility, beats IconOmatic mods. By quality.

Haha I've done that too and only difference I could see was that there was a "@2x" & "@3x" files present and both lots varied in size so that's why I'm confused.

  15. #3869
Wish I had a simple answer. I feel bad as I think you've been struggling with this for a few days, right? Refresh my memory here, which theme is it you are trying to convert and just out of curiosity, what iOS version are you on?

I'm tying to convert back to the future digital speedo, a theme I requested be made back on iOS 7 and trying to update for iOS 8 specifically for 6+

According to a post I just found by searching r/iosthemes, you need to resize the images so that the height is exactly 60px and rename them to end in @3x rather than their current @2x.
If this doesn't work, maybe try contacting the maker of the previous version and see if he'll help you. There's a link to an email address in the Cydia description as well as a Twitter handle (@EnricoBara)

I did ask him to help but says no, so I'll just have to try resizing. Is there a set width px

  22. #3873
According to the post I read, it's just a matter of the height being exact, so keeping proportions fixed when resizing would be my guess as to how to go about it. HOWEVER, I'm now forced to question the validity of that advice as I just checked out a couple 6+ compatible Alkaline themes I have in my iFile trash and none of them follow that guideline so I have to think that's bad advice now. Too bad it wasn't a Lithium theme. Lithium seems to have more documentation available

Again I did speak with the lithium creator and he said it would take too much time and effort to convert theme to work with lithium

Jeez, really? Searched a bit more & the only other advice I've seen given a few times is that for it to display properly on the 6+ you need all 3 sizes, meaning a .png, an @2x.png, and an @3x.png.
That being said, I'm just letting you know what I've found by searching reddit and definitely don't want to call it "my advice." I don't even have a 6+ so I'm not able to test any of these ideas

This is not what this thread is for. It is for help with theming or tweaks.

Please post that in the theming section.

Of course, it's just not for advertising. A little showing off occasionally is ok too!

Haha well I've nothing to show off apart from other people's work but I don't take credit for stuff that's not mine.

Anyways in the following image I am wanting to have battery percentage displays in LED font where the space "temp f" is
