I haven't played with the AppIconMask a whole lot except changing the shape. U need to keep the icon area black for the icon to be seen. Transparent is how the AppIconMask works now in ios7 in removing the unwanted icon canvas. Have you tried making the AppIconMask shape you want in 100% black then reducing the opacity down to 50% etc? I'd try that IMO.id test myself but its like 7am here...

Can you put a mock up of how u want it to look? Previously in the past fully transparent icons were done by actually disregarding the AppIconMask altogether. Essentially renaming it so the iOS didnt call on it.

Doing a step by step tut cause it seems my procedure I posted isn't quite clear (and turned the icons clear in turn instead ^^ ).
The theme in my posts is 3 4 All, by Sk37cH.

The numerous versions released, and infinite versatility, beats IconOmatic mods. By quality.

In iFile, in the /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileIcons.framework/ directory, after you've backed the original [email protected]~iphone.png up (I rename original files by adding an hyphen to the front of their names), (...) ok Jato's approach works all the same, and is way simpler lol. Mine is more elaborate for WinterBoard theming compatibility. But that's outdated, hey Saurik ?

    Thanks Matt !

Man I can't thank you enough. Spent over an hour making icons to only be ruined by that icon mask. I renamed the file and everything is sexy now. Thanks again brah!!!

Edit; Things never go according to plan lol. My stock app icons work fine for the most part. Music won't change. My DL'd apps don't seem to be theming at all. I'm changing the icon files in var/mobile/applications but they won't change at all. I must be skipping a step? I went through the entire thread and saw nothing about this

I have the same problem. Sometimes they change, sometimes they don't. When I tried changing some icons to Jaku some of the stock icons changed but some others wouldn't. After making my own they seemed to work fine.

Here's a couple of mine so far. I think they will look better once I can use the hidden SBsetting for iOS7 on my 5S. Make the folders transparent also.

I don't have issue's with system icons. Its the downloaded apps that are harder to change. I managed to change a few. I think it's just a matter of getting the right file names. There are a lot of "icon" files in iOS 7 apps. Most of the time [email protected]~iphone' works, but not always.

That's correct on naming the icon correctly, I have already to play the pick and choose to get the correct icons names to work. Look at the info.plist file for the icons used. That's a good starting point.

Guys there are issues with manual themeing & icon swapping. Ill add to the OP.

I've found & we have come across it a few times that if the icon DOESN'T change but is swapped out accordingly it can be the other larger (iPad icons) being cached.

So for example the MUSIC icon is:
    Icon-120.png

But if you manually change it out & rename the original it still doesn't change on the respring after clearing the cache.

U will see Icon-144.png sitting in the Music app. This file is preventing the new png being shown. Rename it to Icon-144_orig.png & clear caches/Respring it will be themed.

Manual themeing is even worse on 64bit devices it seems. Been helping someone on iPad mini retina & it caches all 6 icons within the app. Here is one of the cache files cached
    "[email protected][email protected][email protected]"

That's a lot of caching going on.

To get the Tweetbot icon to theme in conjunction with Alfroggy's help we found all but 5 of the 6 icons had to be renamed.

So in short if the desired icon doesn't change go thru starting with the iPad icon & rename. If that doesnt work try the next icon then the next. This iOS is a lot different. Ill update the OP with this info too..

Yes that's what I have been doing also on my 5S, renaming multiple icon files to get them to theme. then clear the cache and restart.

Yeah, I find it easier to just replace them all and be done.

Anyone having issues with apps crashing and not opening once the icon is themed? My Safari and Weather are broken now.

None. Phone was fine before. Openshh and WinSCP for modding. Worked fine all week I had done a few icons a few days ago. I changed the Weather icon to stock, but it still won't launch. Hmm this is weird. I've followed all steps and I've been doing this type of stuff since the original iPhone so I'm not a noob lol
