I thought this might be the way, but I've not done it and need to refresh myself on that convo.

It's been explained several times just recently. Best bet is to see if these other gurus can use that method and, if it worx, then they'll let you know the results and how to do it.

Hmm, I have that and I do believe I tried it with no joy. The icon to be themed in CR preferences is a symbolic link [email protected] which will always point to the CrashReporter app resources of [email protected]. Just a thought, can winterboard use a symbolic link icon that would point it to the themed app icon in the CR bundle?

Did you all see this? I signed up but AppIconMasks won't work w/ this method. I'd have to manually theme each icon (which I might do just for S&G). Figured you all might wanna give it a shot since you already have icons created for each app.

No, I have that and it works. I was referring to theming the CrashReporter icon. What I suggested above seems to work. You have to have what you reference above in place then in com.Preferences.Settings/CrashReporter/ a symbolic link with the name of [email protected] with the link target being to the theme bundle ID ../../../..[email protected] For this test theme, the link target was /var/stash/_.4DYmNe/Themes/Visor.theme/Bundles/crash-reporter/Ico[email protected] For that to work, you obviously have to have the proper link target typed in and you have to have the Crash Reporter app (bundle ID crash-reporter) themed with the [email protected] in it. Lol, hope that makes sense.

Do u think I missed that icon in the Settings icons extract?

Even 8X beta 5 sees no VPN icon included in the iconCache files,
which is weird really. U just can never understand what Apple are up to sometimes...

well i try to add the folder from Preferenceloader-preference into my theme also have that info.plist into the preferenceloader-preference and didn't work and to use and info.plist into his folder i don't think that will work as don't have an bundleID to add on the plist the only way that i figure it out was manual theming sometimes i don't get this devs and don't understand why he didn't do it just like Display Recorder that take the icon from the main folder for settings

That's one thing with Cydia devs : they don't have to comply to Apple regulations. Hence no standard.
The theme in my posts is 3 4 All, by Sk37cH.

The numerous versions released, and infinite versatility, beats IconOmatic mods. By quality.

I see one issue with this method, that the path won't be the same to everyone's theme folder on iDevice.
More specifically the "_.4DYmNe" part. Unless I missed something. For me that part is "_.9yXV8Q"

Otherwise it's probably the best workaround.

    I thought I'd try a different approach...

I did however manage to theme this with a test "twitter" icon via WB with a few fixes err I mean deletions...

    ImageUploadedByModMyi1407745331.093782.jpg

And here's a view in the Crash Reporter app

    ImageUploadedByModMyi1407745361.228330.jpg

    Basically I added a new info.plist named to /library/PreferenceLoader/Preferences/CrashReporter

    ImageUploadedByModMyi1407745462.764299.jpg

I added the "crash-reporter_" to the Bundle ID field.

    ImageUploadedByModMyi1407745621.501317.jpg

You will also notice I deleted the Symbolic links to the icons usually in blue.

I then adjusted the CrashReporter field under Dictionary to target "[email protected]"

    ImageUploadedByModMyi1407745575.131064.jpg

Respring via WB & it's themeing, albeit a long winded way but it is themeing via WB

to complicate for just an icon i don't bother with it lol as i don't use crash reporter ether but hey you find a way that the dev should add that into the crash reporter and this is good for those who use it like i sad manual theming and i think the easy way is to replace the icons this is just my opinion sow each one could chose how to theme that
