Thread: iOS7x Theme GUIDE

  1. #2941
Hey boys & girls! I've experienced the blue screen of death 2 times in the past couple days & wondering what the best way is to fix this...I heard that ilexrat was a way to go but don't know how to even mess w that? Also I've heard MJ put a tutorial up somewhere but where?

  2. #2942
If you use ilex, there are 2 options, Restore and RAT (Remove All Tweaks) the restore will remove all evidence of a jailbreak, except foe the JB and cydia. It will take you right back to the setup screens just like you have after a DFU restore. You will have to setup your email, wifi, iMessage etc. The RAT option will only remove all your tweaks and nothing else.

I've done both a couple of times and I recommend that no matter which way you go run the RAT option a good 3 times to make sure it gets as much as it can.

    I hope that helps.

I have an article given to me that may be of some interest for those experiencing this issue

I hope I read this rite!

Ok so in your opinion then king which did u prefer? Restore or RAT? I don't mind having to plug everything back in but dread having to sync all my pics so I can place them back on phone but even still if restore is the better way to go then I will

I would try the RAT version and see where that gets ya. Remember to run it at least 3 times.

My gmail just broke! Crashes to home screen when I open it. I've rebooted, deleted app and rebooted, reinstalled and rebooted and nothing. Crap!

Do you have a .plist in a theme that might be affecting the app?

Just rename it for now and see what happens. I doubt it's messing w/ the app, though

Odd theme question, may already have been covered... How do I make my Icons transparent? AppIconMask is already set to transparent, if I set it to white... I get white icons, same for black... Help please.

Not sure what's in your plist but it's overriding something. Try renaming it back and see what happens w/ the app.

    BTW, what's the plist for?

    You want them completely transparent???

BLACK is what creates the transparency, but you have to use it as a mask when creating the AppIconMask

For the theme era, don't know all it does but it does change the calendar icon date to a glowing blue color, with the plist changed the text on the calendar icon is black

    For example...
This is the icon mask I made for RingMasker:

Here's what my Springboard looks like:

No, I various shapes as icons. I want outside of the shapes to be transparent to show the background instead of a black rectangle (icon image background is transparent).

If you use that PSD I linked to, then you can edit it to your liking

there are 60+ icons that Im trying to have a transparent BG for, few (if any) have the same exact shape. In the picture attached the only thing I want to see is the blue with App Store the rest of the image is already transparent, but it isn't show as such. All I am seeing is blue with a black background. I can't mask for ONE shape I just want a universal mask/overlay/whatever (like I use to have in iOS 6) that makes all the icons BG transparent regardless of shape. If that makes sense (Im trying to update a theme to work on iOS 7 that I had to update to work on iOS 6).

You're not gonna be able mask 1 or 2 icons a certain shape and then mask other icons into different shapes. The ONLY way I know of achieving that is using the tweak Masks but randomizing the masks won't place the mask on your specific icon.

You have to mask them all or go without. Sorry...

This may or may not have anything to do with what's going on, but I know that anything with a .plist that themes the calendar, always messes up on Wednesday. With it being the longest day of the week, it will revert the weekday back to stock setting. Usually have to go into the .plist and set the font size down one, and it will work.

So, maybe tomorrow, try to use the info.plist and see if it still crashes the app?

    Just a thought though.
