Thread: iOS7x Theme GUIDE

Just wondering why you use AppClose if it bothers you not having backgrounded apps in the switcher after all lol. I believe you're a ram freak. I was one too. But I figured out that letting iOS handle ram management is much better. I've read many say that and I finally opted to follow their advice. Even a ram intensive app like ArtStudio backgrounded, my phone deals with it just fine. And it's an iPhone 4. After various Apis have been launched, getting back to ArtStudio from the switcher often shows the application's loading screen, as if I had killed the app myself. Best is not to worry about it, really. My deux cents.

@Teddy. U need to go into your settings app and in your SmartClose preference, u can turn off the option to clear the task switcher when activating the tweak. This allows u to use the tweak without the task switcher being cleared. Now u can use Auxos quick switcher the same as if u didn't have the Smart Close tweak installed.

@Alfroggy, Smart Close isn't a kill background app tweak. It just forces the hibernation of all your running apps instead of waiting for the OS to do it. The goal I think is to save on battery life.

Oh ok, it's the tweak by R. Petrich ?

Correct. I have it set for everytime I lock my device. It's suppose to be a better way to suspend your apps. I like it but I honestly don't know how practical it is. If it wasn't for the developer I probably wouldn't have it installed. That guy knows his stuff so I'll trust him when he says it's a good tweak.

Battery saving zealots like me will love this. NICE find, Krima. I don't know what half of Ryan's tweaks in his repo do.. But I trust him. I just downloaded this one.. Trying it out..

Not sure I like that it's tied to Activator -- because Activator is dependent upon Flipswitch and you know me and Flipswitch.. LOL!! But Flipswitch has been on my phone for a couple of weeks now.. and no more weirdness. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

If u don't use flipswitch u can always disable the dylib without any adverse affects. Just a thought.

Good call! Didn't think about doing that. I had removed the dependency from the Activator deb and repackaged it but your idea is a lot easier! LOL!

What Activator gestures get deactivated when Flipswitch is off?

So your little tutorial adds the TouchID/Passcode menu to the Settings.app? If so, does it also remove it from the General section?

Lastly, is this something I would apply via Winterboard or directly on my device? I assume the latter but thought I'd ask before I dove in!
Well I added it to my 4S & it just utilised the 7.1 touch ID & Passcode icons from the 7.1 iconCache .artwork file I have. It just displayed the icons in the MAIN Settings Pane. Where I added it was where its shown on a 5S on 7.1.

e.g after the Sounds icon section.

The Settings.plist will need to go into your actual Preferences app. Well that's how I tested it.

But the 7.1 iconCache .artwork file can be still in your WB theme folder & it will display. I've added mine first to the Preferences app. Then tried it out in the WB theme folder.

    Worked both ways.

Can you add other elements to control center with Auxo 2, Like CCSystemStatus or others like it?

I know I could just try it, but don't want to take a chance of having a conflict and losing my j/b.

    I must be confused...shocker!!!
You have these icons on an iPhone 4S running what firmware? Also 'why' do you have them on a 4S if there's no use for them?

I thought you had ported the TouchID/Passcode option from 7.1 onto the main page of the Settings.app for an iPhone 5S running 7.0.6. Is that not the case?

I don't use those so I've never tried it. Sorry....

Maybe you've missed the point of what CCToggles is. It's more than just switches you turn on and off. It adds the ability to launch any app you want, as well. I have an icon I use to launch QuickCompose for BiteSMS because it incorporates Activator shortcuts.

It doesn't look as if Touchbar can do anything else except toggle settings.

Just on 7.0.6, no there's NO need for them but as I said I got "challenged" & as I've said, the Retina 7.1 iconCache file includes TouchID & Passcode whether u have a 5S or not. It's just never enabled to show or use that function.

NO it's definitely NOT the Touch ID software ported.

When I click on the icons it takes you to an empty page.

BUT hey if u have a themed 7.1 iconCache why not show those Touch ID & Passcode pngs off?

I guess it's like those fake 4G tweaks but this doesn't require a tweak.

I am however keen to make an ultra custom .artwork file if possible to include JB tweaks that we usually find hard to theme. It's only a hunch but going to try over the w/e.

I'm confused by this statement and I hear it a lot, so I just had to ask why is it not worth paying for it again? If all he did was resign it for iOS 7, then I agree 100%. But he had to rewrite the code and added features to it. So why does that not justify being compensated for his time and effort?

At the risk of stating something obvious....is anyone that's anticipating Zephyr, happy with Auxo2?

I really loved the smooth and intuitive swipes of Zephyr, and find that Auxo functions can be setup similar, and they work much better than the activator method of assigning slide in/out gestures....good enough that I don't think I'd consider Zephyr if/when it's ready, unless it provided something Auxo2 doesn't.

    Thank you.

Sk37cH, that tweak is not needed with Auxo 2 because it has the slide in features to call the switcher and exit an app. I agree that the activator methods aren't as smoothe because it just simulates the home button.

Just shoot me an iMessage man if u want to chat about it.
