Default Is Possible to Make One Icons Text Transparent?
Hey guys. I'm creating a Facebook icon for a theme I'm using, but the only problem is it's text (application name) appears and looks kinda ugly with the icon. I know you can make all the undocked icons transparent, but can you make a single icon's text transparent (not the white text next to the picture)? I've included an image of my theme to show you what I'm talking about.

    Thanks

Use iFile (the shareware version with the nagscreen is enough to do this). Go to /var/mobile/Applications/Facebook/Facebook.app (you have to have "Applicationnames" active in the settings otherwise you just see weird directory names inside Applications). Go into the directory and seek Info.plist. Open this file and edit it.

    Search for
    Code:
    <key>CFBundleDisplayName</key>
    <string>Facebook</string>
and delete Facebook from the second line. So that this second line just has <string></string>.

Save.. Respring.. and the name is gone

Did you really respring after changing the name to nothing? If it really still doesn't work just type some spaces as CFBundleDisplayName

I'm trying to change a default app. Does that make a difference?

I'm trying to change Weather and Clock!

I'm also on an iPhone 4

    UPDATE:

I just downloaded the app "Rename II" from Cydia and used spaces as the name! It worked perfectly!!!!!

Maybe the best way when you are not good in file editing I always try to do the most manually.
