Thread: HTC Sense Cydget - The first theme support weather cache.

  1. #1
    Default HTC Sense Cydget - The first theme support weather cache.
    HTC Sense Cydget is the first theme can cache weather data.
    It can improve weather loading speed and provide weather when the network is unavailable.
    To change the region of weather, edit this file at /System/Library/LockCydgets/HTCSense.cydget/private/configureme.js

    The new version 1.1.0 will be posted on modmyi cydia source tomorrow.

    Been using it for a while with no problems, awesome app. Updated to the newest version today and my springboard started crashing. Had to uninstall. Any dependencies that you can think of that would cause that? I really like it and would like to be able to use it.

    This works great and looks really nice.
    I had to change weather back to accuweather because yahoo was not coming up for some reason.

    If you use yahooweather, you can find the locale code in weather.com.

    By the way, I'm working on 1.1.2 and now HTC Sense Cydget load almost instantly.
    And I'm also add localization support in version 1.1.2.

    I downloaded this and decided not to use it because it eats up too much memory. Now when I uninstalled it in Cydia it left the other things that installed with the package and my memory is still much too low.

    Can someone tell me everything that was installed with this package?

    hmmmm very odd. I only know of the System/Library/LockCydgets folder.
    i dont know of anything else it creates.

    can you explain more how to change the city, i obviously can get to the folder but...

    I cannot change my city/city code. I have done a similar change with the "HTC Hero" Cydget without problems. However, I am having trouble with your cydget. This is what my updated configureme.js looks like:

    / / Weather config
    var locale = 'Sierra Vista, AZ' / / use this location to Get Weather Data from Source
    var localeName = 'Sierra Vista' / / this String will Show on your lock screen
    var Source = 'appleAccuweather' / / appleAccuweather or yahooWeather
    var isCelsius = true
    var useRealFeel = false

    / / Clock config
    var is24hours = true / / 24 hour format
    var use2digit = false / / when less than 10 hour, Show one digit

    / / do not change
    var iconExtWall = '. PNG'
    var iconExtLock = '. PNG'
    var iconSetWall = 'HTC1'
    var iconSetLock = 'HTC1'
    var enableWallpaper = true
    var enableLockScreen = false
    var stylesheetWall = 'twoLine'
    var stylesheetLock = 'Under_StatusBar'
    var updateInterval = 30 / / it is no use in cydget

    Thanks for your help!

    I figured it out, I apologize. Here is my new configureMe.js:

    var iconExtWall = '.png'
    var iconExtLock = '.png'
    var locale = 'USAZ0214'
    var localeName = 'Sierra Vista'
    var iconSetWall = 'HTC1'
    var iconSetLock = 'HTC1'
    var enableWallpaper = true
    var isCelsius = false
    var useRealFeel = false
    var is24hours = true
    var use2digit = true
    var enableLockScreen = false
    var source = 'yahooWeather'
    var stylesheetWall = 'twoLine'
    var stylesheetLock = 'Under_StatusBar'
    var updateInterval = 30

    Default Crash
    This Cydget is crash-happy. My Springboard crashes about every hour or so. I had to uninstall it which is a shame because I really enjoyed it. Any suggestions?

    I still can't get this to work even after I change the locale code to my city. And I want it in Fahrenheit and not Celsius. is that possible?
    Please hit "Thanks!" if I helped you.

    in configureMe.js
    edit var locale = 'location id goes here'
    change location by going to weather.com, seaching your city
    you will get a url that looks like this...
    Brockport Weather Forecast and Conditions
    the last part of the url (USNY0170) is your location id

    *****you must also change var localeName to the name of your city. it wont do this by itself.*****
