Default Anyone Tried Adding Your Own Ringtones In iTunes 8 ?
With any of the other versions of itunes I could make my own ringtone out of my own music convert it and then drop it in the ringtone section and it would be there....

But I tried that with itunes 8 and it would not let me drop it in there or go to file add to library.

So this is what I did to get it to work.... I went to the finder then went to the name you gave your computer then /music/itunes/itunes music/ringtones and dropped the .m4r file in there then clicked on it and then it showed up in my ringtones within this version of itunes....

Anyone else having any problems like this? If you know of a better solution please let me know... as this is the only way I could get one in there...

No problems with importing ringtones, but as usual iTunes "lost" about 600 of them now I get to delete them from the ringtone folder and import them back in. Last time it "lost" something it was about 1800 songs and that was fun deleting each dead link and re-importing them.....
Oh how I Loooove those little "!" next to a song..........
