    Default Ringtone Question/Help
    Hey All,
I can put custom made ringtones on my phone no problem. My question is....I am using Idemocracy to upload them. Like I said works fine. Only problem I have is that it doesn't appear to be putting them in the right spot. Let me clairify a bit more. They go into the right section. "Ringtones" But is there a limit on how much we can put on the phone. I might have put like 10 on and it says I am running out of space. and that I should delete some media files or photos. Is there a limit or is there an easier way to put the files on there.

    Just curious....

hey bro there NO LIMIT right now i have a total on 59 ringtones on my iphone. only takes up 39mb's.

    i HIGHLY recommend using Audiko

its very simple in 7 steps.

    1. upload the audio file to site ( it shows you how).
    2. cut the part that you want.
    3. hit save to desktop.
    4. create a folder on your desktop name it " iPhone Ringtones ".
    5. put the audio file in there.
    6. then open it in iTunes, itll automatically go to your ringtones tab.
    7. check off " transfer ALL ringtones " so that u never gotta check em off one by one to transfer them and just hit SYNC.

    BOOOYAHH!! youre done.

The iPhones built-in Ringtunes are stored in the 300MB filesystem. If you're trying to add Ringtunes to this area, you'll run out of space. The easiest thing to do, is rename your ringtune from mp3 to m4r and feed them into iTunes. Then you simply sync them. They will be placed in the correct spot on your Media partition.
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

I created a 20 sec mp3 file. Ssh Uploaded it to the ringtones directory. Power Cycle. I go to set the ringtone in contacts, its not in the list. Why?
