The garageband should work fine... even without a jailbroken phone.

Try using a website called audiko.net I make all my ringtones there and all you have to do is make the ringtone on the website, download it and put it on itunes!

I use iPhoneRingtoneMaker. Works fine when you import the tones in to iTunes.

give me an email and i will give the directions for making personal ringtones. it's quiet simple when instructed and not trying to figue it out on your own. there is also a site called " audiko.net ". Just have your itunes on , make sure your on your music library. Then once on the " audiko.net " site just type the info for what band, song, etc.. and then download the ringtone for IPhone. The ringtone will go straight to your Itunes ringtone library, then just drag it to your Iphone.

did you change your file name to m4r? try doing this on your newly created ringtone, besides the "ringtones" application, "PhoneZap" can also help to convert your songs to your ring tone library.

Did any one come across a application call 4Ringtones? it is a new application to let us use up to 4 different ring tones randomly, I found it on my friends Installer and the source is PDAMobiz.com - The Best PDA Website in Thailand, but when I try to add this source, it just don't work, maybe I got the source address wrong.............can some one help???

iPhone Ringtone Maker is the way to go. It's simple and quick, well worth the $14.95 you'll pay for it. Here's the URL:
