    Anybody have a way to make my own ringtone without paying $2?

    Download audacity. Open your favorite mp3. Select the 30 seconds you want. Copy that and paste it in a new channel. Save that as an mp3. Import that mp3 into itunes. Right click on the mp3 and click convert to aac. Copy the converted aac file into a folder. Your gunna need to go into tools, folder options and select show file extension for known file types. Then rename the m4a file (aac) to m4r. Import the m4r into itunes and enjoy your new ringtones

    itunes can make them for free not using the ringtone maker just edit the song. check youtube there a how too.

    Have you allowed iTunes to sync with your ringtone? Which method did you use? You might have also made your ringtone slightly too long... i did the audiko.net method and found I can only make a ringtone of 39 secs, and not 40.
