    Default 4.2.1 Jailbreak out.
K, so 4.2.1 was just released. and so was a jailbreak.
RedSn0w does Jailbreak 4.2.1 but does not run cydia...wtf?
so baisicly avoid the 4.2.1 Update for now.....
    Ill put up more later.

Cydia claims it is 4.2.1 Ready.... but isnt working....
i forgot to mention use version 0.9.6 of Redsn0w to jailbreak it.

ios 4.2 should be released on Nov . 22 for those wondering...thats what i say theres lots of differnt dates out there, but iTunes says will look for an update again on the 22nd.....

I just found this out...the hard way. Jailbroke my iPhone 4 using this same method and Cydia is only a white icon.

If it's in beta, I don't think any jb method will work right until the official final release.

Alpha, beta, golden master are developer only releases. Sure you can fInd it, but NOT on iTunes!!!

They allow devs time to update their software before it's officially released.

If you're a dev, then update. If not then expect a whole host of issues and problems.

Bleeding edge? .. Or Leading edge? You choose

I've been a tester since 3.0 beta. Had all of them and now all of the 4.x's. This is the first time I've tried to jailbreak one of them. I'm going to unjailbreak for the time being...no biggie.

    Just a stupid quick question.
Is the only way to Take off a Jailbreak by Restoring?
Or is there a easyer way?

Cydia built for 4.2. Some people have patched the existing one to make it work

If you are on a new bootrom 3GS you need to run redsnow everytime you boot the phone. Just choose the boot tethered option and you will be able to use cydia.
