    Default iPhone 3G Help
I recently purchased an iPhone 3G running 3.1.3.. I took it out and jailbreaked it using redsnow. Now when I put in my AT&T sim card, it shows that I have no bars.. just the dots where the bars would be. No carrier logo either. Do I need to restore and re-jailbreak?
If so, is there a better method to this? Thanks

You should have inserted your SIM and activated through iTunes before jailbreaking. Restore, and this time, activate the phone so you can make calls etc. before jailbreaking, then use redsn0w 0.9.2

    Use redsn0w 0.9.2?
Or the version 0.9.4 that I have?

Well, either might work but 0.9.4 was made specifically with ipt2g old bootrom in mind and 0.9.2 was made for 3G/3GS phones.

It doesn't matter much for you as you can just restore and try again if it doesn't work, but for a 3GS phone that has no option to restore, I'd use 0.9.2 just to be sure everything goes as planned the first time.
