Thread: Problem with time zone change in 3.0?

Default Problem with time zone change in 3.0?
We have two original iPhones (4 gb and 8 gb models) with pwnaged 3.0 (jb/unlocked) and each fails to change time zones when we travel. This problem did not occur with the firmware before 3.0, so I am wondering if it's an issue with the pwnage jb/unlock or if T-Mobile may have changed their software in such a was as to not send the iPhones time information for the change? Does anyone else have problems with time zone not changing automatically?

Just a thought. A couple years ago T-Mobile started shipping a new higher-capacity SIM. My old one always had the red voicemail indicator/badge after a reboot even when no voicemail existed. After getting a new one that problem went away.

This could be related. Got a newer SIM?

I must have an older SIM since I get the red dot, too. Very annoying. Will T-Mobile send the newer SIM cards upon request? Is there a charge associated with it?

Yep -- about $20 or so.

But you can get if waived if you claim your SIM-stored contacts are getting messed up (wierd characters, vanishing, etc).
