    Default custom 2.2.1 firmware without baseband upgrade?
    Hello I'm running 2.2 and at 2.28 modem firmware want to upgrade to 2.2.1 with 2.28 modem firmware so I can use some apps that are on the apps store and keep my phone unlocked but when I tried to make a custom firmware all it does is error when I try to restore it to my phone.

    Well the phone needs to be in DFU mode to install a custom ipsw. The screen should be black in DFU mode.

    If you install custom firmware do you have to rejailbreak the phone after you restore the phone with custom firmware?

    you install the firmware after you have restored during jailbreak.

    I put the phone into DFU Mode(black screen) than it says in itunes you need to restore so I hold down the shift key and hit the restore button find my custom firmware and it starts to restore than it errors with a unknown error occurred (1600) and thats as far as I get can someone help me out?
