i'm using my iphone with portuguese Vodafone and they have a special low budget package for data (it seems to be very similar to tzones form what i've followed on the forum). The thing is that it is required to configure the iphone to use a proxy... i've found some info on the forum for changing the preferences.plist and setup the proxy.

I've tried using the two ways described here (either using the proxy.pac file and setting the proxy on the preferences.plist directly through the HTTPProxy key) and i've managed to make Safari work with both setups... Safari and Mail work without a problem, Maps only locate me, it doesn't show the maps and Weather and Stocks don't update.

The Vodafone package restricts the traffic to HTTP, but doesn't the Weather and Stocks apps update through HTTP?

Any ideas for this not to work?
