Thread: Pedometer

    Default Pedometer
    Very experimental, yet very accurate!
It got within 2 steps on every try!
    Check it out on Installer!

this app is sweet...i would donate some change for this app to become a background process...

  5. #5
    Yeah, that would be cool.
    NES.app can do it.
    Hopefully they can calibrate!

very cool so far! looking forward to seeing what all they can do with it!

how about integrating this with navicat? Me don't know much bout it.

little sensitive - no way to distinguish steps vs. non-steps but still a good experimental app that can be improved upon. i like

Yeah, this could be really cool if it could work while the phone is sleeping! I'm a waiter, and I've always been curious how many steps I take in one night. Looking forward to it!

LOL my dad does delivery. I should let him borrow my phone for one night.

So sorry for being such a newbee dork but can someone tell me how to physically get this app into my phone? I've got tons of new apps in there now but they all come from the list that comes up in the Nullriver installer.

    use installer.app

Thanks SubZ3R0, but one more stupid question I promise. Where do I get that "installer.app" from, and if I use that one do I lose access to the big list of apps that are there under the Nullriver app installer that I have now?

  17. #17
    Installer.app is made by Nullriver.
It sounds like you already have it,
so look for Pedometer under Utilities.

I think I get what is happening here. Nullriver distributes through installer app. If you have not already done so install "community resources" this will allow for more apps through installer

Got it, Thanks so much for the help! It works pretty good in the back pocket, but seems to add a bunch of steps all at once if it gets giggled wrong. Maybe a limit on how many steps it can add per half second interval would cure it?

Wow this is insane. I use a pedometer when I jog and just YESTERDAY i thought to myself, i'm sure someone can make a pedometer using the accelerometer built into the iPhone. Awesome job!!!
