    Default Directories different in 1.1.4?

I can confirm it definately works on 1.1.4
Not working under a clean install of 1.1.4+Zip here either. For example the relevant directory for photos in 1.1.4 appears to be named

    ~/Media/"iPhone Photos"

not 'Media/Photos' or a newly created '/Photos_2' as described earlier in the thread.

Would really like to see this modified for 1.1.4 Sprog. Thanks.

My mistake, its a matter of setting permissions as in:

Put the Feburary version of Swap Library in your Applications folder on the phone by FTP or afpD. Then go to the terminal and :

You should be able to: Just drop it into your 'applications' folder, then open term-vt100 and set the permissions to 755 by entering these commands EXACTLY:

    chmod -R 755 /Applications/*

Yes, the last is an asterisk.

(You may have to fix your terminal first with Tweeks(1.1.3) by installing "SUID Lib Fix" to get the login root/alpine working there.)

This works on 1.1.4 with the 2/20/2008 SwapLibrary.app that is here in the forum.

I got my iPhone working on 1.1.4! Just do what patgod67 says. The one thing I noticed when i got this running is..... when you have your Media and you swap your library and plug your iPhone in your PC(Windows XP) and connect to iTunes, I had to restore my settings from backup. Make sure you sync your iPhone with your calendar/contacts/ and what not before you run this and plug it in.

I haven't tested whether or your iPhone will have that info or not. But this is what I did and it's working!

Ah Okay, so Now I'm a bit stuck. Here we go:

    1) Jailbroke Ipod v. 1.1.2, gotten plenty of apps to work on this Ipod touch.
    2) Installed BSD
    3) Installed SwapLibrary.app
    4) Chmod to 755 on all
    5) Restart Ipod
    6) Pressed Swap, nada happens, boots up for 2 seconds and than nothing changes
    7) Reinstalled BSD, powered on, hit swap, nothing changes.
    8) Installed the PermFix, powered off / on, hit swap, nada.
    9) Installed Finder, found Itunes_Control folder... And thats where I stand.

I've read almost all I could on this and decided I need to ask for help directly, lol. What am I missing?

you need to install BSD subsystem and SSH
then connect to the iphone via PC/Mac
then u will see the app folder via root folder

I cant seem to get this app to work no matter what I try... I tired all the ver that are stored via this post. I have moved my apps folder to "/private/var/Applications" with a link to there from root dir. I dunno if this is why it is not working or not but i am at a loss. any help would be great.

Ok I intalled BSD subsystem from from installer and and SSH from the PC.

When you say via the root folder, are you talking about the iphone now showing up as a drive on the PC or accessing through WinSCP?
I have the WinSCP downloaded but have not used it yet...

  16. #74
best bet is to youtube a SSH tutorial there are quite a few out there...

you need BSD subsystem and SSH on the ipod/iphone

on the pc install WinSCP and in setup make sure to check explorer style (makes it easier)

then what you need to do is login to the ipod/iphone via the ip addy

    Ex. 192.168.1.150
    user: root
    pass: alpine

once you do that you will see the file structure of the device.. under root on the left you will see applications in this folder you will want to drag and drop the the swaplibrary.app folder that is in the zip you downloaded. once that is copied there right click and go to properties of that folder and set the permissions at the bottom to 777 (just check all the boxes and check to include subfiles (the bottom right box)). and then jsut reboot ur device and should be working.

if ya need help feel free to IM me on AIM sn is Punk0690

Also I finally did get this to work on my ipod i Had to set permissions to 777 for the app

here is the info i used to move my apps before hand to free up installer room also

    iPod Disk Full Fix:

    Create a new applications directory:
    mkdir /private/var/Applications

Move everything in /Applications to the newly created directory:
    mv /Applications/* /private/var/Applications

If you get a 'permission denied' on the above operation, copy the apps first:
    cp -R /Applications/* /private/var/Applications

Remove the entire /Applications directory (with everything in it)

Create a symbolic link to the new Applications dir where the original applications directory used to reside:
    ln -s /private/var/Applications /Applications

    chmod ug+s /private/var/Applications/Installer.app/Installer

You can now install all the apps in the world now without ever running out of disk space.

I installed the swaplibrary 1.1.3 on my phone and it just won't swap the library. I made sure the permissions were 0755. I also tried 0777 Any suggestions?

    Works for me on 1.1.4
    1. I made sure I had BSD Subsystem, and OpenSSH installed. (If you haven't, then install it)
    2. Added source from Sproglet.. "http://losprog.com/repo.xml"
    3. Installed SwapLibrary.
    4. I SSH onto the iPod Touch and typed in "chmod -R 755 /Applications/*"
    5. Started SwapLibrary.. and voila!!

Hopes this clears it up for some people!
