Depends on how the message is being displayed. If your getting the message when attempting to install an app through Installer, it could be you need to change your permissions using winscp or putty.

If you could be more detailed people can help you better.

Use SSH and Winscp and change the permissions to 0755 for the app you r trying to download.

    hey this may help!

Upon upgrading 1.1.4 I put summerboard 3.2 on. It didnt work correctly, as I am sure most folks already know. Upon trying to install Ipod Touched Summerboard fix I was subjected to the ERROR - MAIN SCRIPT FAIL.

    How I got around it?

Prior to Step 1 - SYNC Ipod.

Step 1 - Uninstalled the associated app. (summerboard 3.2 in this case)

Step 2 - Restarted IPOD and set recursive permissions on SUMMERBOARD folder within WinSCP. (any generic ftp will do)

Step 3 - Installed IPOD TOUCHED 1.1.4 Summerboard fix SUCCESSFULLY!

    Step 4 - Installed SUMMERBOARD 3.2

    Step 5 - ENJOYED SUMMERBOARD FUNCTIONALITY>
