Default Constant Reboot from Today's Updates? - 9/28
My phone is in a constant reboot. Rock usually catches it, but not this time. It has been rebooting for the past 6 hours, and will sometimes stop in safe mode, but as soon as I restart - back to loop. I can ssh sometimes also. Anyone have clue what software could be acting up? I just updated today, nothing new. I removed Kirikae, but still rebooting. The only other option could be the Rock update.

    Any clues guys? I'm on 3gs, 3.0.

    Thanks!

If you can SSH you could delete some of your recent dylibs or you could navigate to /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist, copy that plist to your desktop. Find a plist editor and then open up the plist to the most recent <key>DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES</key> and delete it. That will prevent from loading. If that doesnt work you can delete all the <key>DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES</key> in attempt to get your phone back for a backup before restoring.

Make sure you make a backup of that plist.

You can only restore to 3.0 if you have your hash is on file with Cydia.

You can go to /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/ and remove the dylib that you suspect maybe causing issues. I dont know of anyone particular that could be causing your problem

I have never have had luck with Rock. No matter how 'safe' they claim it is after every update it always borks my phone. The hard part is figuring what is causing the hiccups. What do you have installed that may have had a recent update? Also, you may want to stay away from Rock/Cydia/Icy until the jailbreak is released. It sucks, but that is what I have been doing. I won't even Sync my phone in iTunes anymore either after all of the threads I read about something simple bricking peoples phones lol

Going to get a replacement phone... Helpful people. Good luck Iainmann - They did say that the replacement would be 3.0 however, so hopefully we can still jb. Where the heel is Rock to answer for his faulty update????
