I'm sure they all will in time, with paying customers, they have to make an update so that when everyone goes 3.0, the apps will go with them.
It's gonna be a real pain in the *** when 3.0 comes out... i hate re jailbreaking and getting all my apps back.. T_T

irealsms for 3.0 might be called irealSMS 3.0, and we may need to buy it again (last time the update from 1.x to 2.0 was not free for previous owners, but it was cheaper)

there shouldnt be an upgrade fee for 3.0

although there seem to be changes.. none as drastic as the 1.0 - 2.o jump... at that time the entire app had to be rewritten and many new features were added which the dev believed justified a higher pricetag on the application. Now this app is one of the more expensive ones on the market and one of the best. We have reached a pricepoint that we feel comfortable with and we think is justified and understand that iPhone users are not rich people and we know that raising the price will cause sales to drop as well as our status in the community.

so expect the 3.0 update to be free.

Wow i forgot about MMS for a second lol, yeah it will be interesting to see how they will do that. And, knowing them, it will need a complete app rewrite and cost $10 to upgrade.

Well, we need to see how the MMS is done in this firmware.. it may be really easy to hook into it.. we will see. But reguardless. Since it is an option availible in the AppleSMS app, it wouldnt be good business to charge for a otherwise free feature. So AGAIN, I wouldnt count on it being a paid upgrade

We already run it on 3.0 (rework db managing and some other issues) but its only dev version.

I do believe anything that uses mobilesubstrate should be avoided in the 3.0 betas...

    Call it a hunch

SBSettings Beta 5 trial + iRealQuickSMS trial = 2 restores in one day

Doing the 2nd restore as I type this

    UPDATE:
The dev started testing with 3.0 yesterday.
The reason the app crashes right now is because MobileSubstrate has not been updated to work with 3.0 just yet.
And the sms.db I believe has been changed to something like the messages.db

The dev modified his code a little and has the main app working on 3.0 just fine. So it sounds like its going to be an easy port as soon as mobile substrate gets updated... because without that, the QuickReply and QuickSend currently wont work.. I was told, it can be done without it... but it wouldnt be fun at all to program it that way.

The MMS in beta 5 we have barely started playing with... currently when we recieve MMS, we get a blank caption bubble with no image.. which is actually a good thing, because iRealSMS is at least registering activity.. so it looks like it is not going to be that hard to get MMS working in iReal when 3.0 rolls around!
