    Default Iphone car datalogging software
Alright I use a datalogging software called DSMlink. They have recently got a working version on Mac OS and we were talking about possibly getting it to work on the Iphone.

The software is free and you can get the code from dsmlink.com. The only problem we see is connecting and send/receive from the cable. It is a DB9 Serial connector.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    I can suggest 3 ideas:

    1) Contact the guys that made the voip dongle thing that plugs in the bottom of the phone, I can't remember exactly what it did but it was interfacing with the phones dock port in some way.

    2) Wait for the rumored GPS dongle to be released, that almost certainly will have a serial interface, and you should easily be able to figure out the wires from that. Or even contact them now, I remember seeing a video of that one working too.

    3) Wait for an RFCOM enabled Bluetooth stack to be created. Then you can use a DB9 to Bluetooth Dongle in the car, and the iPhone can read the info wirelessly over Bluetooth.

    Hope these ideas are useful
