I used the official update/jailbreak; intermittant crashing and won't find the picture directory. I sure this can be fixed with some updates and symlinks, but not sure excatly what changes need to be made...

ssh to ur applications folder and do the following commands:

    chmod +s SwirlyMMS.app/SwirlyMMS
    chown root:wheel SwirlyMMS.app

i have official jailbreak and that made mms work.
    (hit thanks. lol)

Until SwirlyMMS release long awaited 0.3 version, all of you, like me, which has 1.1.3 jailbroken and unlocked with new baseband and 3.9 bootloader can use MMS app ver. 0.2 which works just fine under 1.1.3...I found out that today when I installed that old version just for the sake of try..You can find it under sendowsky.de source in Installer app...Have fun...

Your method works but for those who don't this stuff your forgotting a very import piece of the puzzle....

For those who this method didn't work try this....

    cd /Applications
    chmod +s SwirlyMMS.app/SwirlyMMS
    chown root:wheel SwirlyMMS.app

For those getting the error messages is because its executing this in a directory where swirlymms.app doesn't exist. Hope this helps.
