i can't install customize, when i tried version 1.18 it said that "this version of customize requires firmware 1.1.[12]", which i already am using, and when i tried installing customize 1.13 it said "this version of customize requires firmware 1.0.2"

    helps

am i the only one who cant change notepad & dialpad in customize? cant see them.

  3. #63
Im pretty sure they arent features YET, but Im not completely sure...

  4. #64
    Default Why remove features?
I just don't understand why the 5-icon dock was taken out. I mean, I love the app (way to go, Spicy Chicken!), but why would they take out a feature that was there before? Especially one that so many of us were using.

  5. #65
Im still xpecting more from it, just one more function would be great, if it let we put all 3rd party apps to the extended springboard so my main one will look like the legit iPhone surface ^^

  6. #66
How can I down grade my 1.18 version of customize so I can have my 5 icon dock again???
    Thank you

    is this available via installer??

  8. #68
1.13 was posted on Installer, but Im not sure which firmware this uses. Here is what Ive posted to many people already

I would suggest the same thing Ive suggested to many people already; downgrading to 1.13. Just google "iPhone Customize", then find the googlecode page. Go to Downloads, then download the V1.13 of Customize, not the source, the actual app. Then using some kind of iPhone file browsing program, I reccommend iPhoneBrowser, find the Customize Folder inside the Applications folder, right at the top. Then just go through every folder, including the Customize.app folder itself, delete everything in it, then click and drag the programs in each of those respective folders into that one. Installer will say you have 1.17, but you really have 1.13. After you reboot, everything should be back to normal with hidden icons and other things. Then never upgrade important programs like that without looking at the googlecode page to see what was added, leftout etc.

same here, how can i get 5 icon dock now that i have the new customize version?

  11. #70
You can't. Uninstall the new version, and then install an older version manually. Come on guys. It's pretty easy.

To make sure that you dont lose anything, just keep 1.18 installed, but replace all of its files with 1.13 files. Look above for instructions on how...

yeah, there buggy, I'm going to work on fixing them soon, been too busy with work. Soon, I promise. If they are fixed they will be available either through the customize beta addons or in future versions of customize

I found a FIX for 5 Icon dock with 1.18

SSH to your phone in System/Library/Coreservices/Springboard.app and download M68AP.plist

Open this with a text editor and copy one of the items from the IconList section (3rd main section) to the BottomBar section (2nd section, should now have 5 items there). Then send the plist back & reboot

If you're running windows you have a text editor, called Notepad.

I dont know if sharing the file would work, since it calls for different apps in different spots...

  20. #78
you cant share the plist but the fix is very easy. I'll reiterate the steps
1: ssh into your phone and navigate to: /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/
2: copy M68AP.plist to your computer (mac or win doesnt matter)
3: edit the file with notepad.exe (on windows, click start, run, type "notepad" and click enter). On mac open with textedit (finder, applications>textedit)
    4: look for this:
    PHP Code:
                <key>iconList</key>
                <array>
                    <
    dict>
                        <
    key>displayIdentifier</key>
                        <
    string>com.apple.mobileslideshow-Camera</string>
                    </
    dict>
                    <
    dict>
                        <
    key>displayIdentifier</key>
                        <
    string>com.apple.mobileslideshow-Photos</string>
                    </
    dict
(my first app is the camera, yours might be something else)
5: we'll move the camera to the dock.
6: select the following text, right click, click cut:
    PHP Code:
                   <dict>
                        <
    key>displayIdentifier</key>
                        <
    string>com.apple.mobileslideshow-Camera</string>
                    </
    dict
    7:Look for the button bar:
    PHP Code:
                    <dict>
                        <
    key>displayIdentifier</key>
                        <
    string>com.apple.mobilephone</string>
                    </
    dict>
                    <
    dict>
                        <
    key>displayIdentifier</key>
                        <
    string>com.apple.mobilemail</string>
                    </
    dict
8: Paste the camera dict so it will look like this:
    PHP Code:
                    <dict>
                        <
    key>displayIdentifier</key>
                        <
    string>com.apple.mobilephone</string>
                    </
    dict>
                    <
    dict>
                        <
    key>displayIdentifier</key>
                        <
    string>com.apple.mobilemail</string>
                    </
    dict>
                   <
    dict>
                        <
    key>displayIdentifier</key>
                        <
    string>com.apple.mobileslideshow-Camera</string>
                    </
    dict
9: Use cutomize to put the camera icon whereever you want. If you change your mind and want to put another app in the dock bar, np, use customize to switch apps just as b4!
