Thread: Blank Space App

    Default Blank Space App
A couple questions before I attempt to install this.

    1. Does it work with 1.1.1?
    2. What do I name the folder? It says a space in the googlecode, but Im not entirely sure what that means.
    3. Then after I make the folder in Applications, do I just drag all the stuff into 1 folder or do I seperate it?

    where do you dl this?

I forgot about this app. I would suggest trying it out, and letting us know if it works with 1.1.1.

Well I tried to follow the lack of instructions, and it dosent seem to be working. First, you can't name a folder in applications " .app" (just a blank space). Then when I name it something else and just drag everything into the folder, and then I'm not exactly sure where this should appear, I'm guessing in the rSBT section, but its not, so unless someone could edit it for 1.1.1 *wink wink*, Im pretty sure this is dead for 1.1.1...

Blank.app does work on 1.1.1. I have it working on mine.

    This is what i did:

    I used Customize 1.13
    I used Iphonebrowser
Drop the Blank.app into the Applications Folder
    exited Iphonebrowser
On the phone i opened up Finder
    Goto Applications
    Highlight "Blank.app"
    Modify
Delete the work "Blank" from the Blank.app
Then add a space before .app so you should have " .app"
    Click done
    Reboot phone
    Open Customize
You should see on the top left a blank square to add blank spaces
click on it to add blank space and then just move it to the desired position using rsbt.
    hope this helps

If you use winscp to create the directory on the phone that works also. I w
use windows and it wont let you create a filename with a space. Winscp let me though. Then I just dropped the contents of the blank app folder in.
...edit... Dont forget to mod to 0755 so if you happen to launch the blank app by mistake you can close it right away with the home button. Otherwise the app will stay open for about twenty seconds or so. Very irritating.

Are you sure you have the right transparent icon in the app's folder?

Default customize turned my phone into an ipod touch
    I'm currently running 1.1.2
I tried adding the blank spaces " .app" and used customizeNM to make some spaces. it worked and I made blank spaces where I wanted them, but it only allowed me to have 30 apps(including the blank icons) on the home screen. then I went into customize v_1.20 to unhide my icons which worked but deleted the blank spaces. so, in CustomizeNM, I tried hitting restore to backup. oops. it messed up my order and I couldn't get it to work. when I went back into v_1.20 it kept crashing and eventually took all the icons off the springboard and the carrier now says iPod. I can still make calls and access the apps from the Dock app. so I uninstalled cusNM and deleted the " .app" file and rebooted my phone. but it's still an iPod.
    any thoughts.
