create a directory named EBooks in /private/var/mobile/Media/EBooks, then place your ebook files in it. Change the permission to 0755

    or better yet,
create a link called "EBooks" in:
    /private/var/mobile/Media/EBooks
    pointing to:
    /private/var/root/Media/EBooks

that way you dont have to keep moving your newly downloaded ebooks

Or even better: try the pre-release versions of ruBooks or textReader - both allow you browse your iPhone directory structure.

    yes....
assuming you have your iphone connected to your home/work network via wifi
    download winscp from this site
find your iphone's ip and open winscp type in that ip address and use as your username and password:
    username: root
    password: alpine

then create a link called "EBooks" in:
    /private/var/mobile/Media/EBooks
    pointing to:
    /private/var/root/Media/EBooks

to create a link right click in that directory go to "new" then "link

Really ruBooks destroys eBooks. Thanks Colel. I love using the app.
